West Reading police took Damian Garcia-Garcia, 35, into custody when they responded to the hospital on a report of a wanted man who arrived at the emergency department, attempting to enter drug rehabilitation, Reading Eagle reports.
Garcia-Garcia was caught on video surveillance before and after he assaulted the 73-year-old man while he was pressure washing his home in the 1900 block of Fairview Avenue around 4 p.m. Monday, according to the Central Berks Regional Police Department.
He caused "serious facial injuries" to the man, police said.
